Free Beta Software

RosterPress is currently not available for purchase, at least while we iron out a few last bugs.

To do that properly, we need some help. We’re currently accepting 25 7 more requests for beta user rights. What this means is that we give you the software for free and you give us your feedback. (You also get to keep the software to use on your website forever.) There is some fine print though, check below.

Tell us what’s broken, what’s missing, what’s too much or what’s just plain wrong. We want to hear it all. We’re tough, we can take it.

Before you fill out the form, double check the following requirements:

  • Are you running WordPress 3.0 or higher?
  • Are you running “Self-hosted” WordPress? (ie: Not using WordPress.com)
  • Are you able to install plugins on your site?
  • Do you know how to FTP to your site? (Not required for the plugin, but may be for troubleshooting).

 

Terms of the beta program:

We (The Company) dba RosterPress (The Software) will provide you (The User) with a copy of The Software to be installed on The User’s primary (single) website, currently running on the WordPress platform, and meeting any and all requirements for proper operation.

  • The Company reserves the right to decline entry to the beta program if The User’s website or business does not meet any criteria set out here or otherwise contrary to The Company’s judgement.
  • The User understands that in so much as this is believed to be complete and bug-free software, no guarantee or representation is made that bugs may not exist. The User agrees to hold The Company blameless for any website downtime, crashes, data-loss, or other issues that may be caused by this beta software, and to allow The Company the first opportunity to examine and fix said problems.
  • The User will provide RosterPress detailed feedback as to the features and functionality of The Software as it affects the day to day running of The User’s website. This feedback can be sent by email (provided as part of the beta by The Company) , by a special feedback form (also provided as part of the beta) or by phone via a support phone number (also provided to beta users).
  • The Company will, as far as is possible, assist in the setup of The Software, troubleshoot and resolve any issues caused by The Software, and fix any defects found by The User.
  • The User understands that if they agree to use & test the SMS notification module (which is optional – even in the beta), extra charges incurred by purchasing credits from Clickatell are The User’s responsibility. The Company has no control over the pricing or policies of Clickatell.
  • The Company agrees to fix any major issues in The Software in a timely fashion. The timeline for these fixes will be determined by The Company and based on the complexity of the issue.
  • New features, changes or ideas proposed by The User may or may not be integrated into future versions of RosterPress without further compensation or remuneration to The User.
  • Both parties (The User and The Company) have the right to terminate the beta at any time, for any reason.
  • The User agrees to provide the reason(s) for termination to The Company so that it may address the defects.
  • Regardless of which party cancels the participation of The User in the beta program, The User may be required to remove The Software from it’s website and not continue to use The Software.
  • In consideration of participation in the beta program, and providing of feedback, The User will be granted a single life-time licence to use all software and modules provided during the beta program, for use on their primary website.
  • The Company will not charge The User for future upgrades to the core plugin or auxiliary modules provided as part of the beta.
  • The User will be able to purchase future add-ons and modules not included in the beta at regular price, as a normal customer.
  • The User will receive access to The Software’s help systems, forums and other support & community features, as do all RosterPress owners.
